Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel & Burns, LLP is pleased to welcome attorney Julie Rook Gold to the firm’s Labor & Employment Law Group in its Clearwater office. Julie brings nearly 17 years of experience in employment law, with a distinguished background representing both federal agencies and employees in complex administrative litigation.

Prior to joining Johnson Pope, Julie served as an Attorney-Advisor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she drafted decisions on workplace discrimination complaints filed by federal employees. She also led trainings for managers, HR professionals, and attorneys on employment law compliance and best practices.

At Johnson Pope, Julie will focus her practice on counseling business owners, HR leaders, and in-house attorneys on managing workplace issues, resolving disputes, and minimizing legal exposure. Her extensive experience in federal sector employment law and deep familiarity with administrative forums like the EEOC and Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) position her to offer clients a well-rounded, insightful approach.

“Julie brings a valuable skill set and fresh perspective to our growing Labor & Employment Law Group,” said Shareholder Joan Vecchioli. “Her deep understanding of public sector employment law and federal administrative agencies enhances our ability to serve clients navigating complex regulatory landscapes as well as day-to-day workplace challenges.”

Julie earned her J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2008 and her B.A. in Psychology from Purdue University in 2004, graduating cum laude. She is admitted to practice in both Florida and Maryland.
