In a significant win for our client, Johnson Pope Bokor Ruppel & Burns LLP successfully obtained a summary judgment order requiring indemnification of a former CEO in a three-party commercial litigation.

Attorneys Gary von Stange, Chris Bonti, and David Stupich represented the former executive against his previous company and a leading Florida general contractor. The Court’s order requires the former company to indemnify our client, regardless of any alleged breach of collateral agreements or prior settlement with the plaintiff.

This outcome represents a complete victory for our client and reinforces Johnson Pope’s reputation for handling complex, multi-party business disputes.

Earlier in the litigation, Johnson Pope successfully dismissed two of the plaintiff’s three original claims and negotiated a highly favorable settlement on the remaining claim. With the new ruling, our client is now entitled to full reimbursement of both the settlement amount and all reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.

Gary von Stange led the litigation, with assistance from Chris Bonti and David Stupich. Over four years, the team managed every phase of discovery, motion practice, and briefing—culminating in this decisive summary judgment victory.

This case underscores Johnson Pope’s depth of experience in complex business litigation, particularly in matters involving indemnification disputes, executive liability, and multi-party commercial claims.
