Celebrating Art Harvest’s 50th year, the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin (JLCD) is hosting over 200 nationally acclaimed artists and more than 50,000 guests at Highlander Park in Dunedin during the weekend of November 2nd and 3rd.  Art Harvest began as a small arts gathering and has evolved into one of the most well-respected, juried shows in the country.  While adults browse the artists’ booths, a children’s tent provides an interactive art experience for children with arts and crafts projects related to the current year’s theme.  This year’s featured artist is local artist Cheryll Grogan.

Johnson Pope is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of this event.  Two attorneys from Johnson Pope are active members of the JLCD.  Partner Colleen Flynn has been a member since 2006 and is currently the Chair of Nominating and Placement.  Associate Sarah Manthey has been a member since 2010 and is currently the Community Vice President. “Not only are we as members of JLCD proud of the success of Art Harvest as a prestigious community art event but more importantly, the money raised goes to benefit JLCD charitable community endeavors which currently include young adults aging out of the foster care system and the teen training center at the Ross-Norton Recreation Center in Clearwater,” said Colleen Flynn.

The Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. JLCD’s purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  JLCD’s work in the community is well-known and ranges from the Dunedin Fine Arts Center to the Rick Pitino High Point Center.
