Joan M. Vecchioli Elected Chair of the Pinellas County Unified Personnel Board

Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel & Burns, LLP is pleased to announce that Joan M. Vecchioli, Esq. has been elected Chair of the Pinellas County Unified Personnel Board.  She has served on the Board since 2011 as a public service.

The Unified Personnel Board, established by the Personnel Act (Florida Law 77-642), is the final authority in all matters relating to personnel policy and actions for offices, agencies and employees of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, Supervisor of Elections, Human Resources, Office of Human Rights, Business Technology Services, County Attorney’s Office, and Forward Pinellas. It reviews and adopts pay and classification plans, revises personnel rules and regulations, investigates compliance with the Personnel Act, establishes merit-based selection processes and determines processes for grievances and appeals.

Joan is a partner in our Clearwater office and is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law.  She has also been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in Labor and Employment Law since 2006.
