Attorney

Kaley Johnson is an attorney in Johnson Pope’s St. Petersburg office, where she focuses her practice on real estate, finance, and corporate transactions. She represents developers, investors, lenders, landlords, and tenants in complex commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing across Florida and throughout the Southeast. Her work spans commercial retail, multifamily developments, and fund-driven investments, with clients ranging from regional shopping center owners to national investment funds.

Kaley’s path to becoming a lawyer reflects her adaptability and drive. Originally studying broadcast journalism at the University of Florida, she realized during college that law was a better fit for her skills as a reader, writer, and communicator. With family ties to residential real estate, she gravitated toward the transactional side of commercial real estate law and has built her practice on helping clients bring ambitious projects to life.

Since joining Johnson Pope in 2019, Kaley has quickly established herself as a trusted advisor. Early in her career, she assumed responsibility for an entire portfolio of files and client relationships. Stepping into this role accelerated her development and reinforced her reputation as a lawyer who can handle high-dollar, high-stakes transactions with confidence and precision.

Clients appreciate Kaley’s practical, adaptable style. She tailors her approach to meet the specific needs of each transaction, prioritizing responsiveness, clear communication, and timely results. Whether she is negotiating lease terms for a landlord, closing a multimillion-dollar acquisition for an investment fund, or advising on corporate structuring for a development deal, Kaley is known for her ability to move transactions forward efficiently without sacrificing attention to detail.

Beyond her practice, Kaley is active in the legal and business community. She served as the Chair of the Real Property Section of the St. Petersburg Bar Association (2023–2024), is a member of the Urban Land Institute, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Shirley Proctor Puller Foundation. Her professional and civic involvement reflects her commitment to building stronger communities through both her legal work and her community leadership.
