David Williams is an attorney in the Tampa office of JP Firm, where he focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, financing, development, and lending matters.
A senior commercial real estate attorney with more than 30 years of experience, David has represented developers, investors, lenders, landlords, and tenants in complex real estate transactions throughout the United States. His experience spans commercial real estate acquisitions and sales, office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use leasing, construction and permanent financing, mezzanine lending, loan workouts and restructurings, land use and zoning matters, title and survey review, joint ventures, and real estate due diligence.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as a Content Development Lawyer, where he supported attorneys across multiple jurisdictions, developed transactional precedent and model agreements, advised on market-standard deal terms and risk allocation, and contributed to client alerts, publications, training programs, and presentations. Earlier in his career, he practiced with local, regional, and global law firms and served as both a law firm partner and general counsel to a national real estate developer and lender.
David is known for providing practical, business-focused counsel and helping clients navigate sophisticated real estate transactions while managing risk and advancing their strategic objectives.

Outside of the office
David is a lifelong Floridian having grown up in Key West and Miami prior to moving to Tampa and enjoys boating and fishing. He and his wife also enjoy spending time with their two grown children and their spouses in Tampa.
