William F. McFetridge, IV Joins Johnson Pope’s Construction Litigation Team


Tampa – Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel & Burns, LLP, is pleased to announce that William F. McFetridge, IV has joined the firm as a partner practicing from the Tampa office. 

“With the explosive growth in Construction and Development throughout Florida, Will McFetridge joins us at an exciting time. Will’s wealth of experience, professionalism and ability is a welcome addition to the Johnson Pope Construction Litigation team. We are excited for Will, Johnson Pope, and most of all our clients,” says Matt Taylor, Head of the Construction Litigation Group.

Board Certified in Construction Law and State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice by The Florida Bar, Will routinely represents public and private owners, engineering firms, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in disputes involving infrastructure improvements (roads, pipelines, utilities, marinas, bridges, landfills, excavations, mines, etc.), litigation of delay claims, extra work claims, breach of contract actions, claims preparation, bid protests and related procurement disputes, contract negotiation and drafting, and claims avoidance. He also handles litigation in federal and state courts throughout Florida and has significant experience handling alternative dispute resolution, such as arbitration, dispute review boards, and third-party neutrals.  

He holds a B.S. from Florida State University, and a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and Will is admitted to practice in Florida and Georgia.

Will is very active in professional and civic organizations alike.  Professional involvement includes several sections of The Florida Bar including Business Law Section; Trial Lawyers; Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Young Lawyers Division. Civic includes Leadership Tampa, Class of 2021 and Tampa Connection, Class of 2015.
