Christopher Lawson Joins Johnson Pope’s Litigation Team

Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel & Burns, LLP is pleased to announce that Christopher Lawson is a litigation associate in the firm’s Tampa office. He focuses his practice on business litigation, construction, and intellectual property matters. 

While in law school, Christopher interned for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida’s Tampa Division. He was an active member of the Stetson Law Review and served as an Articles & Symposia Editor. Through the Moot Court Board, Christopher argued before several state and federal judges throughout the country, including the Florida Supreme Court at the 2019 Annual Florida Bar Convention. 

Before joining Johnson Pope, Christopher began his litigation practice with a highly regarded Florida litigation firm. There, he defended national insurance carriers and their insureds in automobile negligence, premises liability, and insurance coverage cases throughout the State of Florida. He then clerked for the Honorable Judge Virginia M. Hernandez Covington of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. 

Christopher holds a J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law and a B.S. in Criminal Justice & Minor in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2020 and is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Florida Defense Lawyer’s Association.
